Worldwide Photographic Journeys

Wild Images in Paris

14th October 2019

We are thrilled to announce that Wild Images leader Julie-Anne Davies has joined General Manager and photographer Inger Vandyke in contributing to the prestigious Atlas of Humanity project.

The Atlas of Humanity was established to document the common heritage of humanity across the globe through some of the finest people photographers on earth.

Late last year Inger Vandyke became one of the project’s “Photographers of India” through her documentation of the destruction of Kathputli, the largest colony of street performers and puppeteers in the world, in Delhi.  The full story can be found on the Atlas of Humanity website here: https://www.atlasofhumanity.com/kathputli.  Her work from this documentary series has since been exhibited with the project in Italy, China and the United Kingdom.

On her return from the Omo Valley in Ethiopia, her work also garnered the attention of the project creator Martin Vegas.

From 8 to 10 November, Julie-Anne Davies’ work will accompany Inger’s at the Atlas of Humanity exhibition in Paris, France.  Her two stunning images of a young girl from Ladakh and a smiling old lady in Cuba underpin the excellence of our portrait photography leaders here at Wild Images and if you plan to be in Paris during November, we’d love you to come along to see this incredible international exhibition.

Or you can join Inger and Julie-Anne on our photography tours to learn how best to capture the essence of people in portrait photography!
