South America Photography Tours

Our South America mainland photography tours feature the Jaguars and other wildlife of Brazil’s famous Pantanal and the extraordinarily approachable Pumas of Torres del Paine in southern Chile.

(We also offer photographic tours to the Galapagos Islands, but these are treated here as a separate ‘region’ as they are so remote from the continent of South America.)

Brazil’s Pantanal: Jaguar and so much more

Ambush! We have been watching a herd of grazing Guanacos (wild relatives of the Llama) in Chile's magnificent Torres del Paine. They gradually approach the area where we think a Puma is lying in wait in the 'mata barrosa' and 'calafate' bushes. She is! As a Guanaco nears her hiding place she bursts forth, scattering pieces of vegetation high into the air! Image by Mark Beaman of Wild Images
