Mark Beaman

Mark Beaman lives in Lancashire with his partner Hilary and daughter Rachel, and is Managing Director of Wild Images and its sister divisions Birdquest and Ocean Adventures. After graduating from Cambridge University he led an ornithological expedition to Nepal and then spent several years studying seabirds at Aberdeen University before creating Sunbird Holidays in 1978 and subsequently going on to found Birdquest Ltd in 1981. Mark has travelled to every continent to view and photograph birds and other wildlife and has a worldwide interest in every aspect of wildlife travel. The author of several books, Mark has witnessing at first hand many of the world's wildlife wonders, taking well over 100,000 images along the way. With a wealth of experience under his belt (he has led more than 100 tours worldwide and is one of the world's top wildlife guides), Mark has the knowledge and experience to solve any problem when travelling in the back-of-beyond, and will competently guide you to the most amazing wildlife photography destinations our planet has to offer.
